Any How I Met Your Mother Fans out there?

I personally love that show, and if you watch it, you know that Robin works at the crappy low budget local news station “Metro News 1.” What you may not have known is that Metro News 1 is based on a REAL, equally as terrible, low budget local news channel called “New York 1.”

I didn’t get NY1 when I lived in the dorms (because NYU Cable sucks) but I get it now, and seriously, after watching it I have just come to love How I Met Your Mother even more.

This video is a clip from How I Met Your Mother of Ted making fun of the Metro News 1 segment where they sit there and read the paper to you, followed by an ACTUAL COMMERCIAL of the real NY1 segment where they read the paper to you. It’s exactly the same thing! Hahah, love it.
