Bon Iver Covers Raitt, Hathaway on Fallon
Rather than perform LP2’s first single, “Calgary,” which most have heard a few times by now, Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon mixed it up for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon tonight by unleashing that new tune’s unlikely B-side: a cover of 1991 Bonnie Raitt hit “I Can’t Make You Love Me,” garnished by a dash of her 1989 single “Nick of Time.” What’s more, he opened with the Leon Russell-penned Donny Hathaway song “A Song For You” for the gorgeous piano-backed medley. ?uest approves of Vernon seizing the moment, and yeah, so do we. Watch the full performance above.

Re: Stacks - Bon Iver
This is not the sound of a new man or crispy realization,
It’s the sound of the unlocking and the lift away.
Your love will be safe with me.
